2025 Yamaha GP SVHO White/Racing BlueSound by Yamaha

For the first time ever, Yamaha Music Speakers are available on the Yamaha WaveRunner. Bringing you more power and more volume for better sound quality than you've ever heard. Sound by Yamaha includes auto volume, where you can easily increase the overall volume as you accelerate and decrease as you decelerate.

2025 Yamaha GP SVHO White/Racing BlueINDUSTRY FIRST AUTO TRIM

Auto Trim works independently from the electric trim control on the handlebars. When engaged, Cornering Control automatically shifts the trim for tighter cornering and a racy feel. Launch Control automatically shifts the trim down to prevent bow rise when accelerating quickly. These functions happen automatically to bring new levels of handling and performance.

2025 Yamaha GP SVHO White/Racing BlueRace Inspired Seat

Shaped to give you better grip and control while riding, the GP race inspired seat keeps you planted no matter how aggressive you ride.

key features
  • The GP SVHO is powered by Yamaha's 1.8L, supercharged Super Vortex High Output Marine engine that is the most technologically advanced engine ever designed for a personal watercraft, delivering more power and torque than any engine ever in a Yamaha WaveRunner personal watercraft.
  • Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI): Four electronically controlled fuel injectors, throttle position sensor (TPS) and intake air pressure and air temperature sensors supply the optimum air/fuel mixture. The results are a smooth, high power output with low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions.
  • Specially Designed, One-piece Cylinder and Crankcase Assembly: Provides tremendous engine rigidity that's lighter and stiffer than two-piece designs.

The Powerplant

  • The GP SVHO is powered by Yamaha's 1.8L, supercharged Super Vortex High Output Marine engine, delivering more power and torque than any engine ever in a Yamaha WaveRunner personal watercraft.
  • Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI): Four electronically controlled fuel injectors, throttle position sensor (TPS) and intake air pressure and air temperature sensors supply the optimum air/fuel mixture. The results are a smooth, high power output with low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions.
  • Specially Designed, One-piece Cylinder and Crankcase Assembly: Provides tremendous engine rigidity that's lighter and stiffer than two-piece designs.
  • Slant Detection Switch: Electronic switch stops engine and oil pumps immediately if watercraft becomes overturned, protecting motor from unwanted water ingestion.
  • Wet Sump Lubrication: Uses two engine oil pumps to deliver lubricated oil to each moving part with water-jacketed sump and oil backflow protection.
  • Engine Management System: An integrated, computerized management system that controls and adjusts such functions as ignition timing, fuel injection mapping, engine diagnostics and off throttle steering (OTS). The OTS function activates when the operator releases the throttle lever and attempts to steer the watercraft. This assists the operator in turning while the watercraft is decelerating.
  • Independent Water-jacketed Exhaust Manifolds with Collector: Achieves high power while keeping noise and exhaust heat under control.
  • Thermostatic Cooling System: Water flow through the engine is automatically controlled through a thermostat sensor.
  • Corrosion Protection System: Sacrificial zinc anodes protect the engine from harmful galvanic corrosion. Stainless steel fasteners (nuts, bolts, hardware) provide a long service life. Cylinders, cases and heads are all treated with a durable oxide coating to form a barrier between corrosion and expensive engine parts.
  • Electronically Controlled, Variable Ignition Timing: For exact ignition advance control at all throttle positions and RPMs.
  • Direct Ignition: For more efficient combustion.

The Jet Pump Propulsion System

  • Ride (Reverse with Intuitive Deceleration Electronics) — The world's first dual handlebar throttle control system is easy and intuitive. Pull the right lever and go forward. Pull them both, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control. Benefits include better handling, smooth deceleration and more control while turning.
  • 160mm, 8-vane high pressure pump: consists of a large capacity intake duct, a specifically developed impeller, a large diameter nozzle and other components matching the tremendous power created by the 1.8 litre supercharged super vortex engine. The GP SVHO's jet pump allows less turbulent water to flow through the jet pump. The result is better acceleration and less cavitation in choppy water conditions. The GP1800R HO pump configuration provides excellent hook-up and quick acceleration.
  • The race-inspired ride plate and intake grate: Keep riders glued to the water, even at top speed. The dynamic shape of these items directs water flow into the pump for better thrust, performance and hook up.
  • Stainless Steel Impeller Housing Liner: For high durability, the liner maintains accurate clearance tolerances between the impeller and the housing.
  • Pumps are Manufactured with YDC30: A combination of zinc and copper alloys, developed by Yamaha marine engineers, that offers excellent corrosion protection.

Hull and Deck

  • The GP's hull design combines remarkably tight turning with an edge-to-edge inside-lean character that is as exciting as it is precise.
  • The GP SVHO features Yamaha's second-generation NanoXel2 Hull and Deck. The result is a state of the art watercraft that is significantly lighter, making it quick and nimble, but with balance and manoeuvrability that truly connects the driver to the machine.
  • A redesigned hull liner moves the fuel tank 80mm towards the stern and 15mm lower in the hull. By repositioning the weight of the fuel tank, the craft’s new centre of gravity enhances the GPs’ nimble handling and agility.
  • Progressive, Stepper Draft V-Hull with Integrated Bow Spray Guard: Provides excellent manoeuvrability, handling and comfort.
  • Sponson Design: Provides added straight-line comfort and an improved two-up and three-up riding experience.

Additional Features:

  • 4.3-inch Connext® Helm Control with Colour LCD Display: The GP Series now features modern dash instrumentation, including Yamaha’s 4.3-inch Connext Helm Control with a multi-colour LCD display. A touchpad control mounted next to the steering column provides convenient access to the Connext system’s many functions.
  • Deck Design with Enhanced Rider Ergonomics: With deeper, wider, self-draining footwells and a new seat profile that is 1.5 inches narrower, this new seat design improves knee grip and overall comfort, especially for smaller sized riders.
  • Auto Trim Feature with Cornering Control and Launch Control: Auto Trim works independently from the electric trim control on the handlebars. When engaged, Cornering Control automatically shifts the trim into the bow down position when decelerating for tighter cornering and a racy feel. Launch Control is different in that it automatically shifts the trim down to prevent bow rise when accelerating quickly.
  • Multi-mount System: The GP SVHO is compatible with an innovative new multi-mount system that allows riders to personalize their ride with accessories like speakers, GPS systems, cameras and more. *Accessories sold separately*
  • 107.6 Litres of Total Storage: At the bow, the storage compartment opening is expanding for easier access with a dedicated area for Yamaha’s innovative accessory cooler bag. It also features an upgraded, durable design with high-strength plastic hinge and damper. And for those riders who need even more storage space, the storage capacity under the seat is larger and comes with a water-resistant box for clothing and valuables that need to stay dry.
  • Dual Mirrors: Automotive style and convenience.
  • Reboarding step makes reboarding the craft more comfortable after a quick swim.
  • Yamaha's Trademarked Visibility Spout®: A waterspout from the rear of the craft that improves the watercraft's conspicuity.
